Tuesday is the meeting of the CPN-UML Standing Committee. This gathering is expected to include second-tier leaders who have not allied with either the UML establishment led by party Chair KP Sharma Oli or the Nepal-Khanal faction.
Today, these leaders of the so-called “neutral” group met with party Chair Oli, including party vice-chairman Bhim Rawal, who had previously openly backed with the Nepal-Khanal camp.
This discussion resulted in an agreement to call a Standing Committee Meeting and to make the party more vibrant. They agreed to continue forward in accordance with the 10-point agreement they made on July 11 to resolve intra-party differences.
