Madhyapaschim University (MU) has inked Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with two international level Universities to conduct inclusive education research and teaching-learning activities.
Madhyapaschim University inked an MoU with Chung-Ang University in Korea and Oslomet University in Norway on Wednesday to provide inclusive (special) education up to the Bachelor’s degree level.
Former MU Department of Education Assistant Dean Bishnu Kumar Khadka said that they have increased preparations to introduce inclusive education at the Bachelor’s level at the Department Central Campus beginning with the forthcoming academic year.
Khadka further stated that the curriculum creation process has progressed in preparation for the introduction of the course focused on targeted children and education-deprived pupils in order to fulfil the goal of building human resources.
The University made the choice and took action after recognising the importance of quality inclusive education as a component of the Sustainable Development Goals, he noted. “The University’s academic and executive councils have advanced policy decisions, and MoUs with Korean and Norwegian universities have been signed to carry out a project to provide support in areas such as scholarship, study, teaching, and research.”
