In the pre-opening session, the share price fluctuation limit was reduced to 2%.

In the pre-opening session, the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) has reduced the maximum percent change in the price of securities trading. To manage the unnatural fluctuations in the price of securities traded in the pre-opening session, the board has reduced the current 5% change to 2%.

The price of a security can move up to 2% in the pre-opening session thanks to this provision. The Board is optimistic that the secondary market will become more investment-friendly as a result of the implementation of this provision, as the pre-opening session will become more systematic.

The stock market is open for 15 minutes during the pre-opening session, from 10:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The stock market opens for regular trading at 11 a.m. based on the pre-opening trading price

Similarly, in order to provide investors with a competitive price, the Board has reduced the current minimum price change limit of one rupee to ten paisa during securities trading. Investors can now bid or sell shares with decimal points.

The Nepal Stock Exchange will put these new provisions into effect after they have been approved by the Board (NEPSE).
