Additional 150 Nepalese stuck in Afghanistan arrived in Nepal on Sunday evening, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Fly Dubai had 39, Turkish Air had seven, and Qatar Air had 104.
With this, 654 Nepalese who had been stuck in Afghanistan were able to return to Nepal. Those who have arrived from Afghanistan are being held in the Holding Center awaiting COVID-19 tests.
Additional 361 Nepalese have put their names on the list to return to Nepal until Monday evening, according to the Department of Counselor Service. Due to the lack of regular flights, Nepal has been evacuating stranded Nepalese with assistance from the US, Germany, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other nations with evacuation flights.
